So we arrived in 2010. Not safe, not sane, but here we are. In the future.

The 26C3 has been quite an event. I got quite a lot of feedback on the Keynote, some of it from rather unexpected people. The most common critique was that I gave it in german. To make a long story short: this was a deliberate decision taken collectively. In any other year I probably would have given it in english. But this year it had to be in german. These are special times and we are at a critical junction of dertain debates in Germany. So some things needed to be said for a local audience, with no language barrier.

So lets see what 2010 will feel like. I am flashed every few hours by another Sci-Fi reference.

And I already feel a bit betrayed by not getting the future they promised us.
